I Recommend TED - Ideas worth spreading

Ted

Just a week ago, my buddy Benny recommend me to watch Ted.com. “It’s an Ideas Worth Spreading” he said. And it is.

TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from those three worlds. Since then its scope has become ever broader. This yearly conference used to be shared among exclusive members, what happens there has never been shared until now.

The site has more than 200 interesting archives. The convenient way to watch the thread is to subscribe with their feeds.

Webhost4Life FTW!!!

You’ve probably read some of my rants on dealing with bad customer service in here, here and here. This post, i promise, would be different.

This is about a hosting company named : WebHost4Life. I’ve been their customers for years, they offer a windows based hosting and there is ‘nothing special’ during my 2 years with webhost4life. Everything run as expected, i can remote the database server - some of hosting companies banned this features *helloo… you are in internet business*, ssl implementation, frontpage support and the reliability reaching 99% if compared in 2 years range server uptime. They also offer the Sharepoint package, and run preety well.

Cafe Ohlala just ruined my day..

Yes, you read it right. How does a coffee shop can ruin your day off ? Stay with me..

After rushing from our office in Kemayoran, I finally arrived to Pacific Place. Traffic was so bad due to demonstration happening on my way to Sudirman area. Dude, better save the gov budget for development / education instead of subsidizing the recent oil bubbles.. anyway..

As planned, I have 15minutes or so before my con-call with my peers in Sg start. First things first, I have to find internet connection so I can show our works live. So, there I saw the ‘Free Wifi’ Banner from Cafe Ohlala. Good offer, I don’t have to go to Starbucks in 5th level, save another 5 minutes, I just need the internet anyway.
