Farewell Bapak Soeharto

Some hate him, but lot of us love him.. The old saying is true, you will never appreciate things before you lost it.

CNN put the headlines “Indonesia’s Ex-Dictators, Soeharto Dies”, while  ABCnews gently revise its headlines to “Former Indonesia Leader Dies” with a news description “Ex-president, often villified for his brutal rule, dies at 86.”

While foreign media perceive Soeharto as a fierce and lethal for political opponent, Soeharto start gain respects and admires from the country just after his death. Something that should happen in the last 10 years after his 32years dedication to the country.

TOFI 2006 on YouTube

I found this movie clip in [indo-sing] mailing list and remind me one of my post last year ‘Proud to be Indonesian‘. Take a look yourself, and yes, you should be proud to be part of Indonesia

So that’s why Mr.Lee was silence..

Just had this news transcript from one of mailing list, and after reading Mr Lee comments in singapore media, you’ll know why he was kept silence with local reporters.

Dear God, why did you brought Obama out of Indonesia ?

(God’s answer : Because America needs him! :-))

Before the Iowa Caucus, I never read (or bothered) about the ongoing presidential election in US. All I know, ‘Ron Paul’ is quite popular - almost everyday ‘Ron Paul’ topics is listed in the front page of digg / reddit.

As in contrary, there is a lack of media support for Ron Paul. So, I assumed it must be a grass root voices that support RP in virtual world. But, after he placing the 5th in Iowa Caucus, I thought his supporter must be very busy digging his story resulting him just in the 5th rank. :) …and that draw my attention to get to know about Mr Obama…

Asia’s Biggest Lego City is in Town..

First of, wishing you all a great new year 2008 !.. Hope this year bring more luck, joy, health and happiness.

We were having a family dinner at Senayan City and found out that there’s a cool exhibition going on for the last couple of weeks. So far, this is the biggest lego block exhibition I ever seen. At a first glance, it looks like they were just putting all the collection together, if you have a kid it’s so certain that there was a time you are visiting a toy store just to look around a cool stuff for your love one (including Lego). but I was wrong… If you got a chance, go hurry to Senayan City, and you know what I mean. In detail you can see that they are so creative and detail in design & building the Lego City. The exhibition also claim this is the biggest ever in Asia, well check these pictures to believe it..
