Flight Insurance for First Time Passenger
If you go to Terminal 2 - Soekarno Hatta Airport, you will found a very good ‘business’ happening just before the main escalator to boarding gates. The Product : Insurance. The Customer : Regular passenger seeking protection from insurance. Did you ever buy this insurance ? I never bought it, but guess what, The ‘REAL’ Customer for them is the first-time passengers. Cheap airlines makes everyone can flies, and the check in process might confusing the unaccompanied first time passenger. Selling insurance has never been easier inside the airport…
All the way to second floor, you will found 2 booths in left and right side of the escalator entrance. If you lucky, the ladies from both side will smile and call you saying ‘Come sir, let me record your ticket’ or something like ‘This way mam…’ Of course, their insurance is optional since most airlines usually bundled the insurance with the ticket fair.
Take a real example, a catholic nurse eventually buy the insurance, it’s not because she think she have to, but mostly because of her confusion after one of the ladies ask for her ticket. At certain point insurance is important, but double insurance is something that nice to have especially if it’s combined with unit links or investment.
For this case, just take it easy afterall the ladies only try to make the living and safe flight is the only matter for the passengers.
Mar,
I suppose it should be “Catholic nun” instead of “catholic nurse” though both words translate to a same Indonesian word
