FastNet 384 from FirstMedia
Call Firstmedia..!! That was the first thing cross my mind the moment I went back home from Palangkaraya this December. I read and hear a lot of buzz about their first entry broadband services : Fastnet 384, with only Rp 99.000/mo.
Yet I also a bit worried after I read one of the posts in Teknolagi : “Fastnet 384 habis ?“, the post reporting some indication that First Media is about to limit the subscription of 384 package. Although it’s not official, some readers share that they were ‘insisted’ to subscribe at least the 512 package or bundled with Home Cable Product. It’s still a good news though, at least I have alternative to replace the lousy telkomnet connection with unreasonable phone bill next month.
I visit the website, and first impression is surprising me. There are 3 (easy) steps to have FirstMedia contact you. First, check your coverage area. This one get my attention, the feature was not a standard roughly-address-look-up features, instead it’s so interactive and provided with a detail information of my neighborhood. The last two steps is so straightforward.
Within 2 days, First Media call me to confirm my subscription plan : Fastnet 384 with Cable Modem. “I can see we have a schedule for you next week sir, which one do you prefer : 9-12am or 13-15pm ?” that question explain that this company is seriously attempt to manage their customer best. So I choose the first schedule, and expecting the rumors in community not happening in my case. That was a week earlier, today, precisely 9am my maid tell me there are someone from ‘KabelVision‘ is looking after me. In the next 3 hours, the Fastnet 384 served in my living room with a decent internet connection speed..
